Yvonne Bobby is still on the Rescue Centre website at the moment if you want to take a look. www.mutts-in-distress.org.uk/dogs.phpIt took ages for him settle in.... 12 hours! To think of all that has gone before, it is pretty good going. Mind you I don't expect I shall be his favourite person tomorrow when I take him to the vet's for a 10,000 mile service. Very sore ears, teeth needs sorting, creaky legs, overweight, and the rescue centre want me to get his testemonials removed within a month. I shall let the vet judge that one. Jennifer.

Which one is Bobby Jen ? I thought you said he was ten year old border terrier? They are all lovely My daughter has a rescued dog she is a border terrier Cassie age unknown she was bought into the vet practice where my daughter in law works the vet made the owner sign her over to him she had no hair and was covered in sores. The vet couldn't prosecute as the owner had actively sought treatment . She had almost given up the will to live and for weeks just lay quietly. Eventually they got her better and she was re homed with my daughter and family. She is a happy loving little dog and is such a softy with the children. I have her to stay sometimes when they go away.

Yvonne I was told that Bobby is a border terrier, I thought he was a mutt. I was right. The people at the Rescue Centre are great with all the creatures, and totally useless at admin and communication. They did not give me one straight answer, just lots of conflicting ones. I do not know when his owner died, which will give me a clue. A bit of history, and medical records would help. Collecting him was a farce, lost files, unable to use the equipment, all sorts of frustrations. Bobby was still on there this morning under dogs waiting for homing. Like me, you realised he was not a border terrier. I bumped into a girl who came with us yesterday, who knows the centre well, and I asked if Bobby had been in a Kennel/compound all the time, and there-fore just did his business when he needed too. That was the case. Not only that when his previous owner was alive, he was free range in open spaces. I's a wonder he is not peeing up the walls. ~Some do apparently. I am really tired as I was concerned for him in the night as he was so bewildered. I had my first you are not going out are you? look already this morning. He is getting into the swing of things really well. Jennifer.

Yvonne Bobby has been removed, and they have put up a lot more. In about a months time bobby will be photographed and put on" our successes" page...And guess who will be on there too! I'll try and give a special smile for you all. Just hope no-one googles me, and my past comes back to haunt me! Jennifer.

Who's been doing the navigable-gating? Not me. Right. Turbo-charged sails up and off we 'fly'. Is that the Mikado I hear? Three little maids just left school? We must be there, 'von. Drop anchor, stow the sails and all ashore. Keep clear of the Mikado and his Lord High Executioner. We need a full crew for the crossing to Vancouver and the Paralympics. There be gold medals to be won in them thar hills Best buy a warm kimono.
